Hannah Bloom has officially become Chief Executive of Suffolk Community Foundation as of Monday 10 February.
Hannah joined the Foundation in March 2024 as Director of Philanthropy and Engagement. She brought with her extensive charity and voluntary services experience having spent more than two decades working in the sector, most recently as Director of Income Generation at St Elizabeth Hospice.
Hannah Bloom, Chief Executive said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as Suffolk Community Foundation’s new Chief Executive. As the largest independent grant-maker in Suffolk, we must also be a voice for the voluntary sector as it faces increased demand, rising costs and reducing resources. I will therefore continue to develop our relationships with sector leaders to help the county’s voluntary organisations to thrive. I am truly excited about what we can achieve over the next few years.”
Anna Hughes, outgoing Interim Chief Executive said: “This wonderful organisation celebrates its 20th anniversary later in 2025 and we will naturally be reflecting on what has been achieved over the last two decades. We are also making plans for our next decade, with ambitious targets for growth in our grant making as we see increasing, and increasingly entrenched, need in all parts of Suffolk.
As my tenure comes to an end, I am certain that the county has, in its largest independent grant maker, an exceptional leader in Hannah Bloom and a team utterly committed to bringing funds into the Foundation and to making grants that support voluntary organisations of all sizes. It has been an honour to work with such committed and passionate people over these recent months.”
