This award is designed to recognise an enterprising individual or a voluntary organisation showing ways in which they have brought a community together. It will demonstrate how the difficulties such as, loneliness, isolation, citizenship, community safety, crime prevention or health issues, have been addressed to have a positive effect on a community; creating an environment bringing people together, giving support where there has been none, extending reach into rural communities and the resultant unforeseen benefits of such actions and interventions.

The award consists of a trophy and a cash award for the successful community group or charity.
