PLMR Genesis announces charity partnership with Suffolk Community Foundation

Award-winning PR and Digital Marketing Agency, PLMR Genesis, is delighted to announce a new charity partnership with Suffolk Community Foundation.

Based in Ipswich, PLMR Genesis is part of the wider PLMR group which donates 5% of net profits to philanthropic causes every year, a tradition that started when the business was founded in 2006. More than £350,000 has been donated to date.

PLMR has chosen the Community Foundations to benefit from a fund of just under £10,000 in London, the Midlands and Suffolk, reflecting the PLMR office locations.

Suffolk Community Foundation will receive a grant to benefit local, young people and the PLMR Genesis team will be fundraising throughout the year.

The Foundation provides financial support to charities and community organisations that help local people facing challenges to improve their lives.

Bernadette Mooney, Account Director at PLMR Genesis who represents the East of England on the Corporate Social Responsibility group at PLMR, said “We’re really pleased to be able to support the Community Foundations who do fantastic work across the country. We worked with the Suffolk Community Foundation earlier this year and saw first-hand the impact they are making through donations in the community.

“It wasn’t an easy decision to select our charity partnership as there are so many worthy causes. However, what we liked about the Community Foundations is that they know the need in their local area, on a postcode basis, and support local grassroots charities and organisations that otherwise could be overlooked.

“We were also pleased that our donations will go towards supporting young people in need in each of the areas that PLMR works in, which is an issue close to the heart of our team.”

Hannah Bloom, Director of Philanthropy and Engagement at Suffolk Community Foundation, said “Often voluntary grassroots organisations who are delivering very local projects, have a significant positive impact on their community. With 87% of charities in Suffolk having an income of less than £100,000, our role is to support them where possible with much-needed funding towards their work.
