In lockdown, Ned discovered a love for cycling. When he was given a new bike for his birthday in February 2021, he decided to take the opportunity to do something really positive and challenge himself to cycle 1000km before his 11th birthday in February 2022. That meant cycling 20km every week in all weather conditions, snow, rain, ice, hail, sunshine, mud…
What’s so special about Ned’s story is that not only did he set himself this challenge, he also wanted to give something back and decided to do it in order to raise funds for both Suffolk Community Foundation and The Friends of St Mary’s Church, Stoke by Nayland.
We’re so pleased that Ned has now completed his challenge, a huge feat, and smashed his fundraising target of £1,000 to raise over £1,600!
Ned’s fundraising page remains open for donations until the end of February. If you’d like to support him please click on the button below.
We hope that Ned may have inspired you to make a donation to Suffolk Community Foundation, or create a fundraising challenge of your own. If you’re interested in doing so, please contact [email protected].
