Suffolk Community Foundation is encouraging support towards those affected by the continuing conflict in Ukraine.
The first community foundation in Ukraine was established in 1995. Since then, there has been steady development as the decentralisation reform leads to growing influence of local authorities within the country. There are now 33 present within the country, using their networks, knowledge, and funding to improve emergency supplies and security.
UKCF are in direct communication with community foundations in countries such as Poland, Hungry and Romania, who are each continuing to develop fundraising appeals to support the humanitarian efforts needed in the growing situation.
Whilst we remain united with community foundations working in a time of crisis in relevant countries, we are also encouraging your support for official appeals and resources in order to help refugees, charities, and the displacement of civilians over Europe.
We will continue to add links below as we are made aware of official resources for information and donations:
- DEC International Ukrainian Humanitarian Appeal – An effective way to support and donate to humanitarian efforts from the UK to help reach families and communities in Ukraine and the Border countries.
- Suffolk Refugee Support – Our local refugee charity providing information and up to date advice on how to help refugees worldwide.
