Over the summer, we visited the University of Suffolk Dental CIC, a new social enterprise which aims to improve access to NHS Dental care and improve the oral health of local people.
CEO, Lorraine Mattis showed us around the brand new state-of-the-art clinical facilities situated on the scenic Ipswich Waterfront. Their fully-equipped dental surgery units are provided with the latest cutting-edge technology and the facilities offer a welcoming and professional environment to make the service user experience as pleasant and relaxed as possible. This is combined with an education centre delivering dental workforce training to increase the number of trained professionals.
The service can be accessed by adults via the NHS 111 service and children can book via the Reception on 01473 957010. Their work in local communities will remove barriers to dental care and reduce health inequalities. We are delighted to help spread the word so that those who are in need of dental care are made aware of this fantastic service.
